the city so nice, they named it twice.

just got back this week from being in new york city. i was nervous and as curious as a little monkey to go to the center of the world. i think mostly so because i was leading a group of 50 or so people around a place that i had never been. thank you fodor’s travel guide for all the help in figuring out where i was going well enough to fool all the people around me.
new york city, specifically manhatten, reminded me a lot of disney world. and here are some reasons…
1. it is an amazing place that most people get to go only once or twice in their lifetime.
2. it only has a few ways in and out.
3. everything costs more money.
4. everyone is looking up at the buildings. (tourists anyways)
5. the people that work and live there, think it is the only place in the world… (i agree this last one is a stretch, but i just picture the guy that is mickey mouse and how i am sure that he thinks that all major contributions to mankind can be traced back to Walt Disney himself.)
i was suprised by the people. they are interesting. they are friendly. they aren’t as cold and mean as i was told they would be. but to be honest most of my opinions come from hollywood, and they probably just assume that everyone is as calloused as they are.
manhattan is its other name…
