Success and Commitment
Posted: October 28th, 2008 | | No Comments »I had a good bit of time in the car today (an actual car… not the moped) so I had some time to think. I now have my next 12 blogs so start tuning back in! I am back…
I was listening to Seth Godin’s new book and he made an interesting comment that I wanted to share with you all. “If you expect success to happen before you are ready to commit, then you will wait forever.” I think it is interesting the things that we don’t do because of risk. The things that we give up on. Instead of fighting for. Instead of staying up late for, or even risking our bank account for.
If you could have a loan for 6 months with no strings attached to get something started, what would it be? Would you go to school, or start a business selling doughnuts, or make a movie? If all of your expenses were paid for a year in advance, and you could just live, what would you do? (sorry for the somewhat similar question to office space about if you had a million dollars)
There has got to be a way to make your dreams happen and still pay your bills. There is a way to take a step to your future and still put some money in savings… What are you willing to give up for your dream to happen? What are you willing to commit to see a step toward “Success”?
